How It Works
• The Center Vent (Yellow Flower): The center consists of a flexible, removable silicone insert with leaf-like flaps. When liquid starts boiling over, the rising steam and foam push the flexible petals open. This releases the internal steam pressure while funneling the bubbling liquid safely to the upper deck.
• The Outer Shield (Green Base): The wider outer ring captures the overflowed liquid and holds it on top of the silicone shield instead of letting it spill down the sides of the pot. Once the heat reduces, the liquid naturally drains back down into the pot through the center openings.
Material & Technical Specifications
• Material: 100% Food-Grade, BPA-free Silicone.
• Heat Resistance: High thermal endurance (typically up to 450°F / 230°C), making it safe for direct contact with boiling stovetops.
• Dishwasher & Microwave Safe: The durable silicone structure is non-stick, odor-resistant, flexible, and completely safe to clean in the dishwasher or use as a splatter cover inside a microwave.
Secondary Uses
• Microwave Splatter Guard: Placed over a bowl to contain food splatters when microwaving meals.
• Vegetable Steamer: Placed flat over a boiling pot with the center flower removed, allowing you to lay vegetables on top and cover it with a standard pot lid to steam them.
• Frying Splatter Guard: Reduces hot grease pops when pan-frying or searing foods.
